ONCOLOGY AESTHETICS
Corrie was one of the first of nine people in Ontario to be certified through an intense course with hands-on experience caring for cancer patients and survivors. Since then she Founded the Awakening to Better Beauty Event. Is a volunteer with the Look Good Feel Better program, Is a cosmetics advisor of the IRise Above foundation & developed a scented or unscented pure oncology approved essential oil line that can be combined into The Beauty Barn Spa treatments.
HOLISTIC HEALER
Because Corrie was working with clients who sometimes are to sensitive to spa treatments that lead her on this path to find alternative ways to sooth ones sole. Corrie holds her level2 Usui Reiki practitioner certification. She has been attuned to channel this life energy through her hands to unblock and move the flow of energy in her client’s body. Corrie likes to combine this into her spa services so the treatment can all healing. She was also taught by a native healer the art of reflexology. She took that training further with Joyessence to hone in her knowledge. she is a strong believer of healing hand therapies, Crystal energies, essential oils & healing through touch.
MAKE-UP ARTIST
Corrie has taken many courses and workshops to refine her knowledge and skills. But she says her skills are mostly self taught because of how quickly trends change. Learning the ingredient selection in cosmetics can be so toxic she has revamped her home & spa skincare line to only include safer selections especially working with immune compromised individuals. She recently placed in the top 15 of the world top lash & theatrical makeup extension competition and won a trip to Paris France to see the finalists compete first hand. After an accident in 2018 left her with a serious concussion & eye damage she still struggles with she now hands over the reins to the wonderful and skilled employees at her spa.
