Corrie says she’s mostly self taught when it comes to makeup because the trends change so frequently what they teach you in school is outdated in 3 years. Some of the courses and workshops she’s attended to stay up to date include: Completions School Of makeup Artistry, Las Vegas Makeup School, Beautycounter seminars & She has attended maltiple MAC pro workshops as well as attending seminars at the aesthetic show & IMATS-International Makeup Artists Trade Show that comes to Ontario once a year. since opening her spa her makeup services have slowed down making room for all the services available at the spa. but she says she will always love makeup.
Corrie’s Make-up Philosophy:
“I truly see every woman as beautiful, The trick with makeup is to get your client to see this in herself once she sees the reflection in the mirror”
Corrie said she love’s the look of clean raw beauty and points out that makeup is just meant to enhance and hi light your features. lately her personal style is less is more. She say’s the older she gets the more comfortable she is in her own skin. she’s dropped the heavy contouring and thick foundations & switched to formulas that lets her skin breath and have nourishing qualities. Most days she’s personally wearing a five min makeup application but she stated she will always sticks to high preforming products and only use the best brushes. If you were to look in her makeup bag you would find she’s switched all her old products out to safer products that don’t contain ingredients that are carcinogenic or endocrine disrupting.
